King of the Castle!

It's very important to have a comfortable place, with a view, to read from!

Special treat before swimming!

We were very lucky on Friday to be able to use the Splash Pad while waiting for our swimming lesson. The students certainly enjoyed having fun with all the watery activities!

I think the water bucket was a definite hit!

We were very lucky to have the staff of Te Tuhi come to school and do our art installation with us after our trip down to them was postponed because of the first lockdown.

Our knotted ropes will take pride of place in a display at Aotea Square.

Education outside the classroom activities.

Had some great team building activities throughout our EOTC sessions this term. These included constructing the tallest tower using popsicle sticks, matching flags and countries, using maps to find coloured stones around the school, egg drop, obstacle course, tent building - all thoroughly enjoyed by everyone!

Here we are making our tallest towers.

Next up, using codes to work out which teacher had the Buzzy Bee key! They were all pretty good detectives.

Then came the egg drop. Students had to use the materials provided to protect a raw egg so that if it was dropped it would not break. This was then tested by dropping it off the deck outside Room 22. But this was not enough of a challenge for everyone and the last photo shows where we decided to drop ours from, and two managed not to break!!
